With its balanced alloy of chromium and nickel, 1.4301 offers outstanding corrosion resistance in everyday and industrial environments.
It is ideal for applications in contact with air humidity, water and many foods. It is resistant to many weakly aggressive media, such as diluted acids or cleaning agents. It is also easy to care for and hygienic – the smooth, corrosion-resistant surface prevents deposits and is easy to clean.
The Sylomer® damping plate, bonded with a special adhesive, effectively dampens vibrations and structure-borne noise. It is permanently dimensionally stable, ageing- and weather-resistant. Sylomer® has good chemical properties against oils, greases, diluted acids and alkalis, as well as good UV and ozone resistance.
Caution: In chloride-containing environments (e.g. seawater, swimming pools, de-icing salts), pitting corrosion may occur. A special stainless steel is the better choice for strong acids or highly concentrated chemicals. For these cases, we recommend stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L). This machine foot is also available in chrome-plated steel.

The machine foot is steplessly height-adjustable via the thread (depending on the spindle length) and can be adjusted to an angle of inclination of approx. 7.5° in each direction (approx. 15° in total) via the ball-bearing spindle. This guarantees stable and accurate alignment of the machine.
